Representative
Eddie Lambert, the son of Elmo and Concetta Lucia Lambert, was
raised in North Baton Rouge where he graduated from Istrouma High
School. Rep. Lambert played football and baseball during his
high school career.
Rep. Lambert attended Louisiana State University, where
he earned his undergraduate and law degrees. During his undergraduate
years, Rep. Lambert worked as a
small businessman by commercially crawfishing in the Atchafalaya
Basin.
In 1985, Rep. Lambert started his own
law practice in Gonzales, and began his career as an Assistant
District Attorney. He earned a reputation as a hard-nosed prosecutor
while serving in the 23rd Judicial District of Louisiana.
While
practicing law, Rep. Lambert met his wife, Marilyn. They married in 1985 and three
years later celebrated the birth of their first child, Mary Claire.
Rep. Lambert and his wife, Marilyn, have three children, Mary Claire, John and Lori.
The Lamberts live in Prairieville,
where Rep. Lambert practices law and continues his small business of
raising crawfish.
Rep. Lambert and his family attend
St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rep. Lambert is a member of the Knights
of Columbus, charter member of Dutchtown Booster Club, Ducks
Unlimited, and the National Rifle Association.
