Session Information
The Legislature of Louisiana convenes in
General Session, beginning on Monday, April 30, 2007 and adjourns no
later than
6:00 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2007.
The current Regular Session of the Legislature is primarily for fiscal
purposes; however, each legislator is permitted to introduce up to
five (5) proposed bills on non-fiscal matters.
The Louisiana House of Representatives usually convenes Monday through
Thursday during Legislative sessions to conduct business in committees
and in the Chamber. Both the Chamber and Committee proceedings are
open to the public and can be watched live on the internet through the
Legislature’s website at
www.legis.state.la.us.
