In January 2004, Rep. Eddie Lambert was appointed by House Speaker Joe Salter to serve on the House Committee on Transportation, Highways & Public Works.  As a member of the committee, Rep. Lambert was a voice for improving the roads and infrastructure in Ascension parish and demanding accountability in the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

Although beginning with the 2008-2012 term, Lambert no longer serves on the House Transportation Committee, he will continue to be a voice for more sensible solutions to Louisiana's and to Ascension's transportation problems.
